Três circunstansis bàsicas són sas que varen fé’mpeña sa créassió de s’Acadèmi de sa Llengo Baléà:
• Canvis d’us d’es mallorquí a n’es principis de 1900 per part d’ets intelettuals baléàrics p’es fet d’amplià mercad per vêndre.
• Necessidat de qu’etzistís un’entidat reguladora de sa gramàtica d’es baléà.
• Sa créassió d’entidats qu’avalavan posturas catalanistas.
Aquets fets varen motivà sa créassió d’un’entidat que defensàs sa pròpi llengo d’aquesta tèrra. Axí, es novembre de 1992 quédà constituida s’Acadèmi de sa Llengo Baléà.
